Busy, busy week

It certainly has been a very busy week here on Maple Street.  Caely has been studying for her finals; I have been helping her of course.  I make sure she stays focused, and I help highlight the important things.

I've also had to help her pack for her trip to Florida, last night I brought her a shirt I felt sure she'd want to take; she's leaving this Monday and will be gone all week.  I'll sure miss her. Wednesday was Cinco de Mayo and was great fun around here.  Mom went for a haircut, then came home and cooked a Mexican dinner for us!  We even had margarita's!  It was so good....we all ate WAY too much.  The rice was my favorite and her homemade guacomole.  Yummmm.  I have had to take over watching the beans and the way they recycle.  I check the the coal scuttle (it's where Mom puts the washed stuff to go outside into the big bin) for the small water bottles the beans are always drinking from.  I make them take the caps off, throw them away and then I squash the bottle down flat.  Sometimes, these beans can be quite a bit of work....all the training they require, whew!  But, at the end of the day when I sit down with one of them and rub their hand with my head....and they smile, it's worth it.  Who says beans aren't as evolved as canines?

May Day

Happy May Day....  I've had an exciting week here at chez Montgomery.  I got a new toy and a new stick.  I just love those chewy things.  Troy and Paul were here the other night;  they sure do like throwing my toys around!  They throw them, then I have to go get the darn things and bring them back to them.. They usually just throw them again, but what the heck, I just go get 'em again.  Human Bean guys....ya got to love 'em!  If that keeps them happy, no biggie.  Paul was petting me the other night and told me he loves me;  I had suspected this all along, but he likes to play the tough guy, you know.  Played a joke on Mom the other day too; she brought some dirty clothes downstairs to take to the washing machine, and she dropped a pair of her undies.  I grabbbed them up and ran around the house with them; she was chasing me like a nut.  It's hysterical.  I finally gave them to her, she's just so cute when she tries to act all mad and stuff.  I just look up, smile and bat my eyelashes---bam!  I win.  I've have her so wrapped around my paw.  That's all I have time for now...I want to go chase the birds in my backyard.
